06 / Preparation, or integration

Before a ceremony.
Or after.

A sound session before a ritual or ceremony, to settle and arrive. Or one afterwards, to stay quiet while the experience sinks in.

Ripples spreading across a still mountain lake at sunrise

Before

Preparation.

The sound quiets things down first, so you walk into the ceremony settled, with your intention clear.

After

Integration.

Right after an intense experience there is a window where it helps if nothing new comes in. What happened needs time to land.

Integration takes much longer than one session. But the first part happens before you start thinking about it. Sound keeps the thinking mind quiet through that window, so the experience can settle before you begin explaining it to yourself.
